Reasons men release semen early during sex

Premature ejaculation occurs when a man reaches the height of intercourse stimulation before intercourse or less than a minute after intercourse starts. However, there is no specific time when a man should expel semen during intercourse.

According to Mayo Clinic, reasons for early semen release during intercourse include:

1. Early intercourse experiences.

2. Sexual abuse.

3. Poor body image.

4. Depression.

5. Worrying about early semen expulsion.

6. The feeling of guilt.

7. Dysfunction in the rise of the male organ.

8. Anxiety. It's common for early semen expulsion and anxiety to happen at the same time. The anxiety may be due to intercourse performance or can be related to other issues.

9. Relationship issues can lead to early semen expulsion. This may be true if you've had intercourse relationships with other partners in which early semen expulsion didn't happen often.

10. Irregular hormone levels.

11. Irregular levels of brain chemicals.

12. Swelling and infection of the prostate or urethra.

13. Traits that are inherited.
